Recipe: Almond Sunflower Seed Berry SmoothieAlmonds and Sunflower seeds have some excellent health benefits. They are a very good source of nutrients including being a cancer fighting agent. These natural nuts and seeds are also known for lowering heart attack risk, lowering bad cholesterol and alkalizing the body. Recent studies have shown that almonds and sunflower seeds add to the strengthening of teeth and bones. Almonds have a healthy fat that help aid in weight loss. They are thought to help in brain functioning including reducing the risk of Alzheimers.

The simple addition of almonds and sunflowers seeds to your smoothie will be a healthy chose and you still get great taste.

Preparation: 10 minutes
Process: 30-45 seconds
Yields Approximately: 2 cups (473)ml

Ingredients 

1 Cup of Organic Frozen Berry Mix
2 Tablespoon of Crushed Almonds
4 Fresh Organic Spinach Leaves
1/2 Teaspoon of Sunflower Seeds
1 Cup of Organic Green Tea

  1. Place all ingredients in a mixer container in the order listed and secure the lid.
  2. Turn machine on and slowly increase speed.
  3. Blend for 30-45 seconds until the right consistency.
